SISTER MAGIC LIB 2024
Sister Magic will bring 11 diverse performers to LIB festival and provide the audiences with a high energy performance incorporating dance styles such as Ballet, Fosse, Contemporary and Vogue as well as circus artists who will perform aerial and floor acts within the run of the show. Our show will run approximately 20- 25 mins and utilize the Thunder Stage.
Our show will be an exhibition of confident self expression, uniqueness, the spectrum of gender embodiment and the act of self love! The performance will be campy, sexy, absurd, poignant, comic and reference deities such as Aphrodite & Kali. There will be three different aerial performances taking place within the show. All apparatus changes will be choreographed into the show for smooth transitions. Our ensemble is professional, body positive, racially diverse and inclusive to all genders. Our costuming is couture and will be unique and colorful. We plan to use some props and fabric to create imagery and optical illusion to add yet another dynamic to our performance. We will use a mix of old and new music ranging in genres such as rock & roll, disco, funk, vogue, and hip hop.
